This is a very rare, 1960's, Antique French designed, 24 karat Gold finished, Authentic “Strass The Original Crystal by Swarovski” Chandelier. A Collector's item, that would enhance even the most beautiful home. Hand made, by the World renowned chandelier manufacturing company, of Palme & Walter KG in Germany, Where the Chandelier was made with hand-fabricate chandelier parts and dressed with “ Authentic “ Strass The Original Crystals “. Each “Strass The Original Crystal by Swarovski” on this magnificent Chandelier, was “Laser Inscribed” by Swarovski in the 1960's, when Swarovski first introduced his spectacular, top of the line, exclusive “ Strass The Original Crystals ” all of which are laser inscribed in the center of each crystal in order to properly identify each one, as being a true " Strass The Original Crystal by Swarovski", this is the most expensive and desirable crystal in the world, which is not the same crystal, as Swarovski crystal. This spectacularly beautiful Chandelier cost as much as a car when it was purchased in Germany in the 1960's, and is the absolute top of the line in Chandelier's, comparable to Baccarat etc. This is top of the line, real old German Quality! Nothing flimsy about this chandelier. It's the delicate beauty, and the magnificence of the Crystal, that is so appealing about this particular Chandelier! Numbered and Labeled (somewhat faded by age now) The Chandelier's delicate beauty, exceptional design work and the exquisite hand-fabricated, hand made (rare) Quality of the World renowned chandelier manufacturing company, of Palme & Walter KG in Germany, that make it a Collector's item. Of interest: Andrew Schonbek ( Hall of Fame ) worked in Germany as a metal working apprentice at the renowned chandelier manufacturing company, Palme & Walter KG., in Germany. Here he learned how to hand-fabricate chandelier parts from raw materials. I am committing myself more fully to my Art now, and what a shame to hang such a delicately beautiful chandelier in my studio, it will be bashed in no time, by some huge canvas I will be moving around, as I do require lots of space to work. Collector's Item! - VERY.RARE - VERY. VERY BEAUTIFUL! - PUT IN YOUR BID - YOU COULD BE THE WINNER! DESCRIPTION: 8 light. Finish: 24 Karat Gold over Brass/metal? Width: 25 inches wide. Height : 21 inches High, not including the 90 inches long Quality chain. Ceiling Chain: Classical Links are used in the ceiling chain, which is 90 inches long and substantial, nothing flimsy is used in this superb quality Chandelier. Each Link measures approx., just shy of 2 inches long X approx., ¾ inch wide X 1/8 inch thick. I think the Chain is made of Brass?, with excellent weight to each link. Ceiling Cup: Consists of two blended tones of gold on brass?, and this brass Cup, is encased in hand cut crystal glass on the outside. Original Label: Original Label still in tact, with it's hand written Serial Number from Palme & Walter K.G. Germany. ( see photo ) Condition: Excellent, all original 1960's, and Authentic. Chandelier has been in storage for most of it's life. It was last hung about 12 years ago and worked beautifully. Wiring should be checked before hanging by a professional electrician, as it is vintage wiring. Damage: Hairline crack in one cup and tiny, tiny bit of damage on one candle light. You'd never notice any of this, just by looking at the chandelier – see photo Weight: approx 40/50 lbs. Age: Purchased in the 1960's. The Arms of this superb Chandelier are covered in Hand Cut Crystal glass, and the Ceiling Cup is also encased in hand cut crystal glass. Bulbs: The chandelier takes standard chandelier bulbs.
