This is a stunning late 1800'S Solid Brass Chandelier is originally from a downtown Chicago hotel built around 1880-1890. I obtained it in 1975 from a salvage sale and had it cleaned, lacquered, polished and rewired and it hung in my dining room where it has received numerous compliments over the years. It is very ornate and heavy! It is a six-light candelabra with an additional two lights below in the center inside the glass globe. The white paper candle holders and glass globe are not original. Although the replaced glass globe is very old too. It also has the original antique very heavy solid brass chain used when it hung in the hotel. You will be amazed by the detail and workmanship on the ornate brass! It will be a stunning addition to your home as it was for mine for many years! I received many compliments for it over the years and am only selling it as I am moving out of state. There are some imperfections as with anything this old. The original glass globe has been replaced. To allow the replaced glass globe to fit, an additonal brass band fitting was added to the chandelier when I reconditioned it and it blends right in as you can see in the pictures.. The chandelier and original heavy solid brass chain was lacquered and polished at that time so you never need to polish. The wiring was also replaced in 1975 too. Candelabra bulbs shown are included. Also it takes two regular 60 watt bulbs additional inside the globe. The only other condition is a small dent on the on the brass under the crown which might come out and is hardly noticeable. Dimensions are 24" diameter and 20" high. Ornate Crown is 10" Length and Chain is 46" Long and easily shortened. Weight is about 35 lbs. Pick-up available.
