gooddayz Store Family Theater was an old-time radio show which aired on the Mutual Broadcasting System in the United States from February 13, 1947 to September 11, 1957. The show was produced by Family Theater Productions, a film and radio studio extension of the Family Rosary Crusade founded by the Holy Cross Priest, Father Patrick Peyton, CSC, as a way to promote family prayer. The motto of the these Holy Cross Family Ministries is, "The family that prays together, stays together." The program had no commercial sponsor, yet Father Peyton, CSC arranged for many of Hollywood's stars in film and radio at the time to appear. In its ten-year run, famous actors and actresses such as James Stewart, Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Raymond Burr, Jane Wyatt, Charlton Heston, Bing Crosby, Jack Benny, Gene Kelly, William Shatner and Chuck Connors all appeared as announcers, narrators or stars. In total, 540 episodes were produced. The program featured not only religious stories, but half-hour adaptations of literary works such as A Tale of Two Cities, Moby-Dick and Don Quixote Scroll Down for an episode list on this massive MP3 DVD of this great family series. All my CD's or DVD's are of the highest quality of the series or show that I can find 2. They are recorded on a Lightscribe CD or DVD which presents a professional looking disc, which you will be proud to add to your collection. If the series is more than one disc, discs are numbered. This process (which takes about 25 minutes) insures disc will still play if you have gotten them wet, or in damp climates, and you also do not have to worry about labels peeling off, possibly jamming your drive. 3. I Burn all my discs at 10x speed. This takes more time, but the slower the burn speed results in a disc less likely to have errors. 4. Each disc is then put in a protective sleeve, then sealed and shipped in a waterproof bubble envelope. I am an OTR radio fan just like you! I take great pride in my hobby, and the discs I send out. Now enjoy the show!! A word about SH fees. SH fees are non-negiotable, regardless of quantity purchased. I do discount fees if you purchase more than one show (please see SH section). SH fees take into account eBay fees, PayPal fess, cost of disc, labor, envelopes, labels, and postage itself. I'm sure if you look at other sellers,you will see the SH fees I charge are reasonable, and in line with others. If you buy multiple discs it may seem strange to pay more for SH than the item itself, this is just the way I have set up my auctions. Please do not bid if you have problems with this.
